Symbiosis Institute of Telecom Management (SITM), Pune– India's finest Telecom B-School, organized their annual flagship event- SITM Telecom GrandMasters Quiz 2007 in association with TATA Teleservices Limited, on Friday 24th August, at Symbiosis Vishwabhavan, Pune. The event, now in its sixth year, provides the only common competitive platform to corporate and student teams wherein they compete for the coveted title of 'Telecom GrandMasters'.
SITM Telecom GrandMasters has a nationwide presence which was again highlighted this year with active participation of around 500 teams from 35 cities across the country for the preliminary rounds. Out of these participating teams, only 6 teams reached the grand finale held today battling each other in 8 grueling rounds with total prizes worth Rs. 2.5 Lakhs at the stake. Grandiosely conducted by the quizmaster Carson Dalton, known for his witty demeanors, the grand finale made for an interesting showdown.
This year's Telecom Grandmasters are Anil Kumar and Vinod Ganesh from Irevna, Chennai taking away prizes worth Rs.1.18 Lakhs. The first runners up are Lokesh Gurunathan & Pragati Katyal from SIBM, Pune. The second runners up are Subhodeep Jash & Subhajit Chakraborty from SSLC, Pune.
The Chief Guest for the evening was Mr.Aditya Jain, Chief HR Officer, TTSL and the guest of honor was Mr. Pravin Agarwal, Director and Chairman, SOTL. The noted singer and Indian Idol Mr. Abhijit Sawant also graced the event as the celebrity guest for the evening.
